Based on a true story and the bestselling book by Jon Krakauer. After graduating from Emory University in 1992, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless (Hirsch) abandons his possessions, gave his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters that shape his life. (via apple)I just finished watching this film and I cant believe it. Brilliant story line and amazing points of direction. It showed all of nature's essence very well. Loved everything about it. It's one of those movies that helps a person appreciate nature much more than they normally do. It details everything about the wild very carefully and I have to give it up to Sean Penn for his amazing way of portraying that on film. Also Mr. Emile Hirsh does a wonderful job capturing the emotions and the overall portrayal of Mr. Christopher McCandless. So props to him.
